- Local capture stays local Spillway writes to notes providers you configure and processes suggestions on your device unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
- Pro billing is optional You can use local capture without an account. If you upgrade, checkout and subscription management are handled by the store or payment page you use.
- Crash reports are your choice Shipping builds do not send crash reports or usage tracking by default. If we add optional reports, we will ask first.
Privacy Policy
Spillway is built around local capture. Your notes stay on your devices and in the notes app you choose. We do not use your note content to track you.

Spillway may process capture text, voice transcripts, vault files, filenames, links, tags, calendar event context, reminder information, app settings, onboarding state, and local diagnostic logs. This data is used to provide capture, autocomplete, daily-note writing, optional Calendar context, optional Reminders sync, and local troubleshooting features.
If you upgrade to Spillway Pro, payment and account services receive only the information needed to process purchases, restore access, and manage your subscription. Spillway's website, downloads, release notes, and update files are hosted by service providers that may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
Spillway does not send note content, vault content, calendar event details, reminder titles, or voice transcripts to Oren Digital LLC, billing services, or website hosts for usage tracking. iPhone and iPad voice capture uses the microphone and speech recognition permissions only when you use voice features.
Direct-download Mac builds can check Spillway's update server when you check manually or enable automatic checks. Spillway does not include detailed device information or crash reports in those checks unless a future setting asks for your consent.
Spillway asks for permissions only for the features you use: file access for your notes provider, Accessibility for Mac hotkeys, Calendar for meeting context, Reminders for task sync, and Microphone/Speech Recognition for iOS voice capture. You can revoke these permissions in System Settings or Settings.
Local notes and app data remain on your devices until you edit, delete, or reset them. Billing records are retained by payment and subscription providers as needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and account-management reasons. You can request account data deletion at privacy@spillway.app.
You can disable automatic update checks, leave crash reports off, revoke permissions, sign out of Spillway Account, delete local app data, and request account deletion. See Privacy Choices for the practical controls.
