Privacy
Spillway is built as a local-first macOS app. This page covers the website and the app behavior reflected by the current repo.
- Local note processing Captures, indexing, classification, and vault writes happen on-device.
- Permissions Accessibility, file access, calendar, and reminders permissions are requested only when needed for those features.
- Update checks Automatic update checks are disabled by default in the current design and require user opt-in.
If the release and data-handling model changes in a future public launch, this page should be updated alongside that release.
